Mission Produce Inc. has appointed Douglas M. Stone to its board of directors as an independent Class I director, with a term set to expire at the company’s 2027 annual meeting of stockholders. With the appointment, the board has expanded from 10 to 11 members.
Stone also has been named to the compensation committee, effective Nov. 26, 2025. As part of the change, Bruce C. Taylor will step down from the committee.
Stone brings decades of leadership experience in the agribusiness sector. He most recently served as president of AgriBusiness at J.R. Simplot Co. from June 2018 through December 2024, overseeing strategic growth and operations across global markets. His prior roles include vice president of wholesale sales at J.R. Simplot Co. (2016–18), president and CEO of Consolidated Sourcing Solutions (2010–16), and senior vice president of sales and marketing at Terra Industries Inc. (2007–10).

Stone holds an MBA from the University of South Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from the University of Iowa. Mission Produce said his background in leadership and sourcing will support its global initiatives and growth opportunities.
