The event was kicked off with a poolside reception on Monday evening, which proved to be an excellent networking opportunity for all. Rigorous educational sessions began the following morning.

The Fresh Produce & Floral Council, in conjunction with Brighter Bites, held an FPFC Volunteer Day in Salinas, CA, on Tuesday, May 10, during which 350 boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables were boxed and delivered to children and their parents at a local elementary school. The following day, the FPFC held a luncheon in Northern California for the first time in two years. The event featured a panel of women, moderated by Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak of Produce for Better Health, discussing ways to increase consumption from their perspective.

While the expo returned with a limited capacity last year, this year's show saw pent-up demand bring attendees in droves from across the supply chain . The 2022 Canadian Produce Marketing Association Convention and Trade Show was a resounding success with over 3,600 registrants representing the entire produce supply chain. Exhibitors from over 270 companies accounted for 53,500 square feet of booth space on the trade show floor. Among those were 131 international exhibitors, 144 Canadian exhibitors (including 44 exhibitors from Quebec), and 77 first-time exhibitors. The 2022 New Product Showcase included 69 products from 49 different companies.
