The Fresh Produce & Floral Council held a successful charity auction and luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course. With over 270 FPFC produce industry members in attendance, FPFC raised over $127,000 for Caterina’s Club and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. In what has become a recurring event for the Texas International Produce Association, the organization recently held its annual Pull-for-PAC Skeet Shoot fundraiser. Critical to supporting the endeavors of the association’s activities in Washington, DC, and Austin,TX, this event has continued to grow every year in recognition among the members. This year, TIPA was able to host a sold-out shoot with every team spot filled. Western Growers held its 2021 annual meeting Sunday, Nov. 7 through Wednesday, Nov. 10. Industry members gathered for a packed slate of events, which included social gatherings, Keynote speaker and serial entrepreneur Magatte Wade, AgSharks, educational sessions and a golf tournament.

Each year the nation honors military veterans who dedicated their lives to protecting the United States. After serving, veterans find their way into everyday life, often working jobs that serve Americans in different ways, such as in the produce industry.
